Because its getting addictive.

So i got abit sick of eating yogurt everyday for the past two days and i decided to try the recipe WITHOUT yogurt. And it taste real good as well ;)

Overnight Oats without Yogurt.

Ingredients:
:: Milk :: Oats :: Banana :: Strawberry&Bluberries :: Sunflower & Pumpkin Seeds :: Honey ::

Note: Strawberries gives a sour touch to the whole recipe and if you are not a sour food person, skip it. Just banana + honey works awesome as well.

Step 1.  Oats + Milk - as usual, ensure milk covers all od oat and a lil bit more.

Step 2. Put in Strawberry chunks (i'm doing so coz i still have plenty of them left) plus some of my favorite sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds.

Step 3. Pour in honey.

Step 4. Banana and Blueberries and more honey and more seeds :)

DONE :D

Cover it up and leave it in the refrigerator as usual.

Should i try nutella with banana next? hmmm ...

Eating Clean.

Looking at my bulging tummy, I've decided to start eating clean (maybe at least for a week? :p)
Prior to my master plan, I gave myself 3 days to eat whatever I want as a pre reward. Then here it goes … 7 days of eating clean.

Day 1 Breakfast: Overnight Oats

Items required:
:: Glass jar :: Spoon::

Ingredients:
:: Greek yogurt :: Cooking Oats :: Milk :: Topping(s) ::

Toppings can be anything preferred. Generally classified into two types, fruits & nuts.
Fruits: Raisins, Cranberries, or have it fresh: Just use any fruit available at the moment and cut them into small pieces.
Nuts: Sunflower seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, walnut … available in most grocery stores.

:: Sunflower Seeds :: Pumpkin Seeds :: Walnuts ::
 Steps:
1 Scoop two big scoops of greek yogurt into the jar.
2 Pour in Oats. Yogurt to oats ratio 1:2. Then pour in milk. Ensure milk covers a lil more than top of oats.
3 Put in topping. Nuts then fruits then nuts. As much as u like as long as it fits into the jar.
4 Keep in refrigerator for the night.
5 Remember to stir well reaching to bottom (to ensure yougurts are mixed up with the oats) before enjoying your awesome overnight oats :D

FAQs
1. Why Greek yogurt?
No not because this recipe is inspired by Greece folks. Greek yogurt is much thicker than normal yogurt so it stays there for the night and allows oats to absorb milk without the involvement of yogurt. A complicated 3 way relationship yea I know.
Tips: Compare the prices of yoghurt among brands. Quite big difference.

2. Flavored or non flavored yoghurt?
Up to you. Flavored yoghurt give sweeter taste that’s all.

After one or two trials following the recipe, go ahead customizing your oats. I used peach flavored yogurt and i put in sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, chopped walnuts, blueberries and strawberries chunks. Sunflower seeds are my all-time favourtie and raisins is always my backup plan when I'm out of fresh fruits.

'Healthy Nougat'

What should i do with a packet of (partially) melted marshmallows?

A: Turn it into a hopefully healthy snack :D

Ingredients:
:: Marshmallows :: Granola/Cereal :: Cranberries ::
Note: Measurement for this recipe is quite flexible hence feel free to prepare according to preference. More cereal (or less marshmallow) will make less sweet nougat.

Also needed:
:: ZipLock Bag :: Spatula ::

Step 1:
Prepare granola and cranberries in a bowl. Cut cranberries into smaller pieces.

Step 2:
Melt the marshmallows. In a pot, or put it in a bowl and melt it in microwave.

Step 3:
Once marshmallow is melted and soft, pour in the bowl of ingredients prepared. Mix them well using a spatula.

Step 4:
Put the mixture a ziplock bag. Before sealing it tight, even out mixture for nicer looking cubes. Let it cool in refrigerator.

Step 5:
Next day, cut them into cubes. Leaving it in refrigerator will keep it hard but i think its nicer soft.
Note: These cubes are sticky and chewy when soft but it sure taste good and healthy.

:: Go get creative :D
